Blood hell fair play - I remember driving 84mph in yours taz when we swapped boats and you had that yank passenger, i thought i was going to die as the boat felt out of control over 80mph I had to put my arm out to stop his head hitting the dash when i took my foot off the throttle.

Mad man!

Having tried to upload stuff to the RB08 site every day during the Round Britain race I soon learned what an uphill task it was.

The Indian newsagent in Newcastle helped me out - good net speed - and his Grandmother fed me.

The Trophy was the best prop on my P21 as well..

Hutchy broke the record again today with a speed of 97.64 mph, not bad for an 18 year old Phantom

It's funny to see that with further testing and development cookys managed to go quite a bit slower than last year. Looks like he'll be modifying his signature!

Hutchys record Phantom in the foreground, Vee an Gareth heading out for their run in the back ground.
Steves having another go in the morning for the magic number, just shows in all the new hull designs and engine technology the older stuff still cuts the mustard,

Well done to Hutchy - he deserves the record - the Trophy blew out as he crossed the finish line and he finished the first record run sideways! He hasn't run it since!

No time for testing and development - just went up with a bigger prop - it didn't work!

Vee went 89 and a bit with the P1 weight, and over 91 without it,so they can tell Hustler in the US that a diesel boat will do over 90!

The weather has been fantastic up here with the sun making an occasional appearance! Over 45 records already including 12 world records - The Searex did a 118 I think with twin 625's in it sounded great and an enormous rooster!

Puddifoot managed nearly 120 in his Evinrude 250 cat that he shares with Jan, Vee and Drew with the windscreen and battle damaged cowlings.

Brian and Rob Mcarthy are having issues and haven't beaten my 91.5 from last year yet! Leant my 2.5 to Rob as he was only running a 260 - 20hp less than he thought!

I believe Brian Peedell noticed John's 280 ECU was limited to the 'Consumer' 7750 rpm instead of the expected 'ROS' 8200 rpm. Maybe the ECU had been changed since last year and his revs are now slightly restricted.

Once again updated the Coniston Site, sorry there were so many runs they struggled to get the info out yesterday. Ted is running a 2 liter which is now a bit toastie after burning through 2 exhaust dividers and blowing the seals out of the gearbox. Electric boat managed an impressive 76.80 using only 10% of the available battery charge, more to come no doubt.

Anyone know whether he had another crack at it. He isn't shown on the coniston site for yesterday's runs.

Hutchy said he wouldn't run unless someone got close to his record, I guess no one got close.
