Guilty as charged, although I haven't ever moulded one. Mike Ring did one for me when I bought the moulds, but have been busy building mono's so I haven't got round to finishing it yet! It's my next job in a couple of weeks time.

I've now sold the moulds to a friend in Belgium, who is just about to mould his second one, with advice from Nico I believe.

What happened to the orange one in your yard?

Indeed it is. I'd hope as a boatbuilder you'd be a little more passionate about it though

Yes the moulds were bought, no pad, its a stepped & vented hull. Speed with a stock 200 is approx upper 60's...

To Captain Chaos:

I am sorry for the polyester joke, believe I am very very passionated by boats and building them. I stand up and go to sleep with idea's for new models, faster hulls etc.

We are doing an all carbonfiber F2 boat now for an American client.

A phantom 28? I'll look up the number in Holland and send it to you if you want

That's the plan, although he only bought the moulds a while ago! One of my guys went out and helped laminate the first one, and he was back over a couple of weeks ago to collect materials for the second one!

Raffshore.

I think we need to establish some facts here.

If you did indeed 'hire' a mould from someone and only built two 'white' phoney Phantom 28's, as you're in the boatbuilding business, and no doubt well informed, you'll have known that you were building them without the designers permission, or licence! so if they were 'your' moulds, or not, you are a copyright thief and a splasher.

However, I suspect you've built far more than the two you speak of, after all, you advertise them on your website! " no wave too high, no motor too big". (or similar)

Here's a couple of pics of one of the white ones, at your factory.

note the style of graphics, particularly atop the screen.

Also note the style of the Phantom 28 logo you felt entitled to stick on said copy.

Whilst this next pic doesn't show it clearly, and the side stickers have been removed, you can see that the sticker atop the screen happens to be identical, as were the side ones before the change.

With the evidence mounting, I doubt very much that you weren't also the builder of this pile of shite! this beauty really gives Phantom boats a good name! no wonder you wanna distance yourself from it.
I've never seen such a poorly made boat.

No, not yet, although I did drive one of Mikes before I did the deal! It's an excellent rough water boat, but is no faster than an equivalent Ring or Phantom with the same power.
