Lightbulb Please Help ID this boat - Is it a Phantom?

All I know is that it's 21ft in length, it looks a lot like a Phantom but I am not certain. Can anyone confirm?

Pics attached.

Cheers!

certainly inspired by a phantom by the look of things, must go ok with 3/4 of a ton of black on the back.

Agreed...nice looking boat! Closer to a 1/3 of ton, those 2.5 the lightest of the lot (even lighter than the 2.0 motors)

I think it could be an earlish Phantom by the Phantom boat company in NZ. big in ski racing. similar to bullet boats and connelly boats etc.
I think the ski race boys may know more.

It does have similarities to the uk 21 though! Even the flick on the aft combings. It doesn't look much like the current NZ phantom.
Still a nice boat all the same!

"Captain Chaos"... that is a very interesting alias!

This boat is owned by one of my best mates and believe it or not his nickname is actually "Chaos" some people do call him "Captain Chaos".

There are no markings or badges anywhere on the hull but I asked him to have another look for me and all that he could come up with is some markings on the fuel tank that said made in New Zealand.

We werent aware of Phantom boats coming out of New Zealand, maybe it is an NZ Phantom built for ski racing.

If anyone else has anymore info please join in.

Thanks!

Definitely not. This hull is long and narrow.

I have seen countless Bullet's in my time and I can assure you that this is not one.

Cheers

Hi there,

that bullet is definitely long and narrow but this hull is quite a bit narrower than a 21ft bullet.

Cheers

I have been in touch with the guys in New Zealand and the boat did not come from them.

It looks similar to the UK PHANTOM but the screen angle is different. Could it be a flop of a UK PHANTOM?

The mystery continues.....
