Is there actually a hope in hell the government will pay attention to any of these petitions? They've already said they're going to procede with the road charging pilot.

I was just about to post the link myself, but was beaten to it.
Dunno if it will help, but one thing is certain, if we don't try, that definitely won't help.

Ive spent many happy days on windermere and can't see them overturning the ban, but if enough people make the effort you never know.

Pathetic

Come on you lot do something useful !! 68 signatures since i first posted !!
Yes it did crash on me as well but if you keep trying it is still working !!

Agreed it may have no effect but its worth a try, Story was that a consortium of only 12 people instigated the ban in the first place.

On what planet do you think calling everyone pathetic is constructive? I bet almost everyone who's read this thread has put their name down.

I picked up on the petition from another forum and completed already.

Isn't it being looked into. Only I have read a number of articles from Landlords of pubs and hotels saying they are now going under as walkers and ramblers are usually students and have no money. Also that the Lake District Authority was becoming bankrupt and couldn't afford to send out the wardens to collect the finds from speeding boats. Still I hate to say we told you so.
