Very interesting.

I'm guessing we still haven't identified the make.

Looks like it's from the west coast, the deck looks very familiar, maybe an early Eliminator. I'll have to check my old Powerboat mags. DOH! Matt has them.

re reply ben

hi ben,it has performance installation by reddish marine stickers on it,they remember the boat and the engine,2.4 litre tuned to 240hp.supposed to be good for 87mph according to them, but in sea condition 40-60mph is the limit for me and the hull probably as well!it drinks petrol too, costs about £30.00 to go from newhaven to brighton which is about 15 miles, shiiiiiiiiit !!!!
cheers,
jamie

Probably not the right boat for coastal use with that mod V-P bottom. Also an old 2.4 will burn some fuel.

Might suggest a newer (modern) 200 hp motor. Would probably make the same amount of power at the prop as the old 2.4 and save some fuel.

The boat looks so familiar but I can't quite place it. I'll download your pics. and put them on couple of American websites. Should have an answer then.

The prop is a racing prop that will envoke stern lift on the hull, when used in rough water it will tend to push the nose down, making you stuff it or take one over the front, you would be better off with a trophy or laser to start with. (IMHO)
