Power boating areas

Are there any power boaters around Anglesey / North Wales on here?

Took the Ring Shakespeare '20 out yesterday. It would be good to find other people in the area to blast around with.

Thanks

We launch from ABC marine too 👍 Do you see many fast boats around the area?

Hi Jam.

I used to be on the straits but had too many issues with locals and finding good mechanics. I moved my boat to Pwllheli and there are a load of us in that area not far from you, loads of Formulas, Scarabs, couple of Donzis and a few quick Chaparral's etc... We managed to have a successful poker run last year with another planned this year but cancelled due to Covid. You should be able to make contact through Facebook 'Poker run UK'

Thanks for the advice 👍

Where do you launch from down in Pwllheli? We're using ABC marine for the tractor launching. I live in Lancashire and tow the boat down to Anglesey.

I was launching from Conwy beacons before venturing down to ABC.

Most of us use park and launch from a handful of companies in the marina. Some do day launching I think as public is not allowed to use the marina slipway.

Or there is the Warren at Abersoch but there is currently a big clamp down on licensing to keep in mind for this area. I imagine it will be the same license at ABC. I see a number on your hull but it looks different to our yellow and black ones.

Thanks I'll do some research. We had a small square annual sticker for conwy last year without the need to register numbers.

The black and white numbers are for lake windermere which is lovely but you're restricted to a 10mph speed limit.

Do you need yellow and black stickers to use the boat down in Abersoch?
