powerboat controller fitments ?

Hi, I'm fitting an engine and controls to an 18ft marshan speedboat and struggling to make a decision of where to fit the controls, at present it has a foot throttle and a control box fitted at the side on an angle, the problems that the boat is very narrow and only just wide enough for two seats with the controller tucked away to the side, I'd prefer to use standard controls if at all possible, I'm sure many have had the same issue so would really appreciate one advice.
Cheers
Davey

Control's

Any chance of photo's so we can understand your lay out and current arrangments.
Generally the controller's on those types of boats are placed on a piece of laminate with ply core on the inside of the gunwall ( side of the boat ). What type of handset are you planning on using?? side mount ? or top mount ?. What is your planned location. ?
