The Mirage Plus 21" I put on mine slowed it down by 400revs! Doh! Things faster with the crappy old Vengance prop!

Don't really think the RPM's have much relevance.

did it go any slower, speed wise?

Well, I tried the Mirage's today. No noticable increase in speed, but the boat seems to run far more level at a given trim, and was more 'pitch stable'. It was also generaly easier to drive at speed.

The downside is, they suffer with much more vibration as they slip/bite across the chop, and if they cavitate, in fact, there's no vibration to speak of with the Bravo1's, so this is rather annoying, as I think I want a set, but the harshness may put me off. Feels like it'd shake the gimbles & steering to bits in no time.

Dashed over to Cowes & had a lovely spot of Lunch in Cowes with Chaos & Ace, before a healthy blast home.

Perfik!

Funny enough the guys with a Technohull 999 (Greek RIBs I design) tried a pair of worked / lab finish Mirage 29's last week. Best they saw was a tad over 68 knots at 6000rpm.

Previously running Bravo props but this ceratinly gave them a few knots.

best I saw yesterday was 70.5mph in the slack tide running down southampton water, and 69.7mph against the tide coming home two hours later. 70mph on the gafrig.

Sadly, those numbers are not in Knots

Jon you should try a pair of hydromotive props they give better acceleration and more topend than bravo props, ive got a 29 rh quad 4 you can borrow if you can find a left hand prop.
