Racing Helmets £50

Brand new full orange Nitro helmets, N250 VX

www.nitro-helmets.com

£50 plus £10 P&P.

No picture on the site for some reason. I tried the exact one on in a bike shop the other day just to make sure they were the right ones.

When i enquired thge other day they did have stock. They have the whole range so presumably they must carry a fair amount of stock. I've not tried buying yet though. I'll have a go this weekend and post whether i get it back sooner or later.

The helmets i ran with last year were nitro's. Very good and nice and light so good on the neck. The visor mechanism could do with a decent latch though. Think mine were N900V'S?

Nitro Helmets

On the Nitro Helmets website, although mentioning that their helmets comply to British Standards, there isn't a mention of any specific BS Number.
I presume they comply to BS6658 - but are they Type A or B?
Perhaps Bob can confirm which one.
And a phrase I dislike about safety equipment - especially headgear - is the one used on their website to describe the NV250VX - "cheap and cheerful". What, if anything, is compromised?

They comply to ECER22-05 and are ACU Gold standard !! I would not describe them as cheap and cheerful , They are actually very good even down to the quick release visor fittings which are almost identical to my 200 quid Shoei.

The only downfall is a mild steel buckle which will require looking after to stop it rusting !!

I will offer a full money back guarantee (less carriage) to anyone not completely satisfied.

Helmets should be type A. Top spec

The European gold standard which these hemets are is equivalent to our BS number and the type A standard. That as far as i'm aware is the highest standard set so they will certainly be race legal. I'm sure someone can confirm that. E mail below that i received.

Hi

BS6658 is the UK British Standard. All Nitro helmets are tested to the latest European standard (an equivalent) ECER22.05.All Nitro helmets are Type A Hope this is satisfactory.
Kind regards

I got my two helmets last night.
Very impressed with them! For a cheap helmet they are fantastic.
It's an expensive thing to buy normally, especially as mine are just for spares for passengers so really happy with them.
