Regal Ventura

anyone got any (helpful) advice regarding Regals, ie.. build quality compared to sea ray, maxum etc... ?

boat in question is a Regal Ventura 6.8 with a 350 magnum

PS: If Gav reads this.. what sort of job is it to add an extended swim platform ... and when can you make me one

Regal builds a good sports boat, probably the same quality as Sea Ray and perceived as a step up from Maxum.

Is the 350 Magnum the small block motor or the big block (aka 454 Magnum) which was also latterly known by the same name. One referred to cubic inches, the other to shaft hp.

regal are good quality for yankee sports boats, pretty heavy usually, my 22fter is 1500kg unladen, chuck a trailer, fuel and people and u need some serious towin power. Hulls vary but most are between 22 and 24deg deadrise, some have a pad and or steps, mines a crakin boat in a followin sea but a bitch in a head sea.. Think the quality may be considered to be atleaset searay probably better..
