Ring 18 with Verado 200 - possible?

I'm writing from Venice - Italy.

I found a ring 18 used in good condition and I would like to mount my engine - a Mercury Verado 200 hp, 4 cylinder, weight 235 kg (519 lb)

The boat can go well with this engine or is it too heavy?

Now the boat is equipped with a 135 hp Mercury 2 stroke mounted on cmc jackplate, if I remove the cmc plate and mount the Verado on the transom of the boat that will work well?

I suspect the Verado 200hp is too heavy and could damage or cause the boat to go wrong.

What do you think? Any advice or experience?

Thanks you so much
Giulio

I would try and find a 20 or 21 personally

I believe an 18 is quite arse heavy with a traditional Merc V6 on it (circa 175KG).

Thanks for answers.
But if you want to try to mount the Verado directly on the transom - moving the fuel tank in the bow to balance the weights - do you think the boat is pretty solid if it is in good condition?

I'm afraid to break the boat with the Verado ... Find a 20 or a 21 here in Italy is not easy. These boats are quite rare.

No one has ever mounted on ring18 engines similar to verado?
