You guys from DK should know Troels L ?

He had the 199 light-weight-version with Gas Tank in the stern.
That 199 is faster than the usual one with bow-tank and theres still no lift required to reach 72-74mph.

thats the guy from the netherlands:
the boat has been sold to germany.



Calm waters....
this will not work well in choppy waters - thats why I love the heavy bow - depends on where you ride most.

My 199 has often seen 128 kmh gps with 2 people

The one I’m looking at also has stern tank, and I think it suits me fine since i mostly rides in calm waters:-)

If you ride in calm conditions you will be happy with it.
There is also a version available with gas tank in the bow and stern. Its heavier.
It does 95 kmh with 150 xr2 merc (163 hp ).

What size the propeller on 150 hp / 95 km/ h, i have a 17 ft 200 hp yamy carb 1998 21 prop , max 100 km/ h at 6000 rpm

I had a 160 bravo got with a 200 merc and as I recall I had a 24P 3 blade and top speed was around 72-75mph

Prop info
When i got my 199 it had the weaker 200 2.4l
It did 96kmh with 1 person 24p chopper
Later it got my homemade 2.5 frankenmotor, topped out at 112 kmh with the same 24p chopper

The Prop mounted on the 150 XR2 was a big hub cleaver.

Its in german, but here are the values measured with radar-gun by some retro-testers of the 80s:

@bernard: which 17ft do you have? A classic or one of the "newer" heavyweighters?
