i'm just wondering if anybody knows this boat or anything about its history.
i'm told its a 92 ring 21 with twin merc 250 ?? bridgeports/cle gearboxes on lifters etc, supposed to have been raced and was in the states for a while.
any info would be great.
thanks

That will be one of Jim Cramphorn's "Waterbird" boats, used in ski racing to pull ex-world champion Steven Moore or his son Jamie

Don't think it is, have a close look at the paint job, especially the white bit where the number goes.
Bazza is right about the numbers though, but there have been many "Waterbird" 21ft Rings, mostly in orange or red, but there was at least 1 green one and 1 yellow one

i have not seen it the flesh/grp yet but do you think the motors are likely to be xr2's. any idea what sort of speed she'd run. did ring use any form of HIN or date stamp on their hulls back then. any particular issues to look out for. sorry for all the questions and thanks again.

It was originally powered by a pair of 2.4 EFI's which may or may not have been worked on. It has been said before that Mike Ring used a compliments slip glassed up under the foredeck for reference.
