Let us know if you want the winners in your class to sign your copy as well

That's very kind and considerate Eirik, make sure you bring your 'Mont Blank' with you, I don't want it signed in `biro'.

I will reciprocate in 2011

Happy to post you down my rubber stamp Jon, just so long as you realise that it'll only LOWER the value of the book!
(Unless of course I somehow gain notoriety, which is highly unlikely. They'll never find the bodies...)

Just finished it - Bloody hilarious Derek, although I suspect your sales will be slow in Newcastle

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Do you really think Geordies will take offence? Damn; I guess I'll have to cancel my holiday there now...

wrong

How come our time to Plymouth is wrong, we were 4th in. We did not get a 30 minute penalty.
Its needs a reprint.

Hi there,
I'm guessing you're Nick?
Sorry if your time into Plymouth is showing as wrong; I got the times from the official Round Britain website. Before it got hijacked by Dean, there was an Overall Times/Results page which I luckily remembered to print off.
I assume you were given a time penalty that was later revoked?
I'm very sorry if it's wrong; I'm happy to change my manuscript if it was a genuine cock-up. And the next time you run into whoever was responsible for updating the official times & results, well... I'll leave it to your imagination. Far be it for me to advocate physical violence!

July 28th 2008

I was communicated this from Mike Lloyd:

"Lastly, COC Ltd have decided in the interest of fairness to remove the 30 min penalty given to Nick Gilley and Jon Fuller of Sideswipes (Boat No: 43) for infringement on the Portsmouth to Plymouth leg as the other two boats involved where acquitted.

I have told the UIM that there will be an amendment with which she was quite happy about,

Regards

Mike."

Especially when our tracker was not working, we were still in Portsmouth even when we arrived in Plymouth.

That's good enough for me Jon; I've made the neccessary changes for future editions.
My apologies; serves me right for believing everything I read!!!
If everyone could please take out your Tippex & turn to page 78...

A-HA!
Now we're getting somewhere! So Swipewipes came 13th and SideSwipes came 4th! Finally, it's all making sense!

Rained in for the last couple of days in Paignton next to Brixham which is by the way Devon and NOT Dorset (page 84)!!!!! so a good excuse to enjoy

A Bloody good read which only confirms my thoughts that you are all a complete bunch of loons but I'd love to give it try even as ground crew !!!
