Think she was out on the Solent last night.

Looked a bit on the slow side as was probably heavily fueled.

Should've tried to get John G to put a boatmad sticker on the side!!

I wonder if the size of it makes it look a bit slower than it is as well.

Sure - it is a big boat and have seen it run before when it looked much faster. Which is all pretty much as you would expect if it was fully fuelled for the attempt last night.

May not have been flat out - but those Arnesons were certainly working and trying fairly hard.

it says they completed a fuel stop, and were back 'on their way' at 22.20, 15 mins later and they're heading west at 17knts.

hopefully a tracking system hitch.

Looking good! must have been pretty rough all the way down the east coast, the speeds have been closer to 50 all the way down, quite a drop from the 80 we've seen.

That's a long way to be pushing into a big sea innit!!

Mike Deacon has just finisned the same route for a 'under 30 footer' in 31 hours 22mins.

He used a Scorpion rib with twin Yanmars.

pretty amazing for boat size/speed ability!

That is a stunning achievement for what is basically a production boat. I think she differs from the previous Hot Lemon by having a slightly shorter stepped hull and reduced weight from having no glass in the cabin sides or windscreen.

Nice job!

very good indeed!

And he won't end up wearing the screen as a hat, like he did with the other one.

I think it's also a bit shorter, as the old one would have been over 30'. (33')

I think he nearly ended up wearing the radar pole on this trip. They also lost a trim tab on the way.

Here is a great quote from Mike Deacon yesterday: “The North Sea was rough but, knowing the boat could handle it, we just kept the throttle on at 50 knots”.

True Brit!
