Rub strip

Hi all,

Where can I find a nice simple (and hopefully not too expensive!) rub strip for the revenger? It's got a biscuit lid style join like a phantom.

I was making one from some 3x30 stainless polished flat but I'm not sure it looks right. Need a new idea!

Cheers, James

Hmmm. I'm still not sure. I think the trouble is that with the boat having been just yellow for the last year or so, suddenly seeing a stainless band around the middle looks odd to me!

I'm not keen on most of the market ones. I need at least 30mm to cover, so I'd have to go with a 1.25" (32mm) one off the shelf which is even bigger. Worse still, I don't like ones that bulge out too far. With the boat being quite flat sided with a sudden 90 degree angle at the rub strip, it looks a bit funny having a bulky profile there.

I dunno, I need to give it more thought and probably fit the rest of one side so I can make a proper decision. I've even thought about spraying the stainless flat yellow to match but it wouldn't be very durable!

James
