Alan raced with Chris Bryan a number of years ago.

Sorry to read RIP to Alan who I did not know.

This happened a few hundred yards from my parents house with the prop landing on the beach. Understand the playground area we use when visiting was closed due to falling debris - not great.

Reports suggest plane was manoeuvred as best as could be done away from the town, community. Thankful to the pilot for doing all he could. Could have been much worse.

No doubt an enquiry will be run and needs to be run with questions to be answered including that of traffic control.

RIP again to Alan.

very sad news indeed - a big shock when listening to the news.

Raced against Alan many times and then remember him helping out with safety cover at races as well. Actually had a fun day doing safety cover with Alan driving his RIB, at Littlehampton on a rough day, and we were quicker than many of the race boats.....

He was a great guy and remember that he was one of those guys who was easy to get on with and a great sense of humour.

What sad News

He was a really lovely guy from when we first met him when he raced with Chris to on many occassions being a Safety Boat. When he didn't have his Safety Boat he made great crew and we had some fun in Torquay one year. It is a big loss and our hearts go out to his family at this time. He died doing what he loved god bless.
