It looked like a boat build to do a job, and won.
Not a foot pump in sight! so a hard boat.

Really enjoyed that episode & congrats JF - the principle of KISS worked a treat & that nearly RIB seemed to be planing very well.
I must admit I laughed out loud when you quite clearly showed your knowledge of Volvo car engines
BTW i have been told that a new series is in the offing but next time they will not use the scrapyard, instead basing it in the workshops of the competing teams. So i guess a new title for the program will be in order.
Anyway well done again & bad luck Kitten
Cheers
Ian

As I said, there was nothing 'inflatable' about the boat. so, if you remove the 'I' for inflatable, it becomes the correct RB, or Rigid Boat, which is of course a winning formula.
Don't remember the Volvo comments and as I'm stuck in Paris, I haven't seen the episode yet.

There is much more to Scapheap than meets the eye.
Jons team were useless and deserved to lose.
My team were awsome and deserved to win.
In the pub on the first night when asked what they wanted to build the genral opinion was ANYTHING BUT BOATS.
Mr Fuller slogged his guts out and definitly deserved the win, just wish we had got each others teams.

Nice one JF. Really enjoyed the prog. That must have been a first for the programme to actually get a boat to go fast.

Yeah. Clearly a boat that relies on two cylindrical air-filled sponsons for its bouyancy has absolutely nothing in common with a RIB whatsoever!

Great show, but Jons tube design was a bit like the old Taskforce ribs, like White Label Challenger which set a round Britain in the early 90's, they had solid foam detachable collars,
still imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, when are you ordering the Rib Jon
