I think the world record is just under 90mph on a modified jet ski, Ive fell off one doing over 60 and it hurts!

On the Brucato site there used to be a Polaris jetski powered by a Merc 2.5 260 with a Brucato SVS front end. Don't know how fast it was though, all it said was it went as fast as you wanted.

We've got a fairly new GTX Di, 135hp, 1000cc, we were alongside another who had a gps speedo and he said we were doing mid 60's, think on a flat day I've pushed 69-70mph. Those GSX's tend to do no more than 56-60 in lake conditions!!

There's no way your ski will do 70, The fastest production ski is the rxp with 215hp and around 74mph.
Ive got a turbo intercooled 150hp ski that will do 64mph, you've got to remember water jets are highly inefiecent.

Thats a GSX ltd 951cc 135hp, it will do 62mph flat oout trimmed up on a lake, (i've got one) and there's no way there room for that bloody ford engine in there!
I race jetskis only in the stock class and my ski only does about 62mph too, but its tuned to get there fast!
heres's me...

if you want to go fast then you'll need one of these..
Its James Bushell riding his super-stock ski, (virtually unlimited mods)
1500cc supercharged
360 ish hp
apparently radared at 88mph a couple of weeks ago.
These skis are silly fast, should you want to see the next round come to willen lake in milton keynes on sept 2+3rd.

it'll get there in a couple of seconds so go figure..
I think if you search the net you'll be able to find some videos of the racing, try the links on the jsra.co.uk website.
