Shakespeare 960

Dear All,

A colleague of mine is currently in the process of buying a second hand Shakespeare 960 currently lying in Malta. I have made some research on the Net but I could not find any history on this boat.

What we know is that the boat was made in the UK by Shakespeare International Marine Limited, a company based in Worcestershire with its head office in Poole. For the sake of doubt, the boat is an original model since all documentation is available.

The Shakespeare 960 is fitted with twin Yamaha 230hp diesel engines (Z-Drives). The boat closely resembles the Hunton 37.

Would be glad if someone provides me with some history on this boat.

I remember the boat! We used to look after it at Merlin Boat Park. The chap that owned it at the time was Cliff Grant he part exchanged it for another 960 with Merc D-Tronics on bravo's, or the other wat round.

Andy Edwards on the forum would be able to shed more light as he bought the Merc Powered 960 off Cliff. Nice boat aways liked them.

Thanks for all the info so far. Would be glad to have a scanned copy of the brochure and the pricelist if this does not involve so much work. In the meantime, I am attaching some pictures of the boat taken recently at the Grand Harbour Marina in Malta.
