more picture of sharpes/marshans i see the more i get confused to what mine is. have been told its a sharpe 19 but am yet to see a deck the same.
bearing that in mind, the build quality on mine was very poor, dont know how it lasted, alot of voids in the hull laminate.
seem to be very slow boats compared to phantom, running a 2.4efi on mine and ok it rigged for pleasure use with carpets etc but best i have seen is 62mph with two up. thats running a 19 laser2, ok was a heavy load with tool bag and spare battery/fuel(thats what working for the rnli does for you, could not face walking into the office admiting i had to be rescued).
anyway seem to need a fair bit of set back and right prop to get the bow up

Your boat is a Marshan 18, the later 19 has a different hull and deck and also had a cut out scoop at the bottom of the transom. Here are some photos of a 19...

does any one know any more details on the sharp/marshan models?
just the outboard well of mine looks same as baj666 but my windscreen is removable, more like those in jonny h's pics. thought the tops sides angles continue on round the bow more so its not so flat.

...and here are two showing the cut out. Apparently the idea behind it was to allow water to the prop so that the engine could be run higher.

I bought a 19 Sharpe from a guy in Scotland, engine was an XR2 but blew up so put a 150 Evinrude 150 HO she runs nice. Look at the youtube links first start of race second near the end of a 60 mile run. Yes floor needed to be redone but is solid now.

I've seen those films. Great!
Do you have any pics of the boat?
What was the weight of the boat?
