yea the marshans are biult like battleships and can take a lot of abuse and imho look great with a very narrow beam BUT take it from a mashan owner they are heavy and take setting up right to get the nose up a lot of the times..but in the rough you cant beat em

stick a jack plate on it dude, made a world of difference on mine.
would run 72mph with a 22" laser 2 and 76mph with a 24 chopper (not recommended) and that was with a 2.4 200

got a 6" jack plate, last run was 2" below i think. though my fuel tank is in the bow. running a 2.4 efi bridgeport that gar136y used to use ski racing.

was yours quite a light boat burty? mine had to have alot of strength put back in when i repaired the side and refloored it due to bad layup

dunno if it was a light build but i moved my fuel tank to the back. mine suffered really badly with bow steer until i moved the fuel tank and fitted the set back plate. even then i feel it could have done with even more setback

Some more videos of a Sharp running (with an Evinrude 150):

How would you rate them in the rough? And what motors do they run best with - 1.3L or bigger?
