sharp ringo marshan

hello i need some help. i have a boat thats a sharp its about 18foot when i got it about 2 years ago the fella said it was a sharp ringo is there sutch a thing as i have started to see boats like mine on ebay with the name marshan. i did a search a year ago for a sharp ringo a 1 come up in the same red and white colours as mine so thought it was right but now i am not sure and dont no who to turn to and ask thanks for looking rob

took some time

sorry for the delay in putting up the pics new baby taking up all my time.
in the pics you see it says sharp on the side that is a sticker so it could have been put on at a later date. i thought the red and white was the original colour but a bit has chiped off and looks green mint green thanks for looking and if you can tell me anything about this boat it would be appriciated cheers rob

Hi , well mine could have been an 18 too, x owner just called it an 19, and so did i, but it could have been an 18,

what did you think of it . mine digs in alot when i go to turn some times it sort of grips could see my self going air born rite out of it if i dont watch out

Where is your fuel tank located??
mine used to do that until i moved the tank to the back

Prop?

Hello,

What prop are you running? The marshan is very prop sensitive, so I presume the sharp is too. If you're running something that doesn't give bow lift then you're going to have handling issues.

the props a 3 blade laser with a 21 pitch i think. do you think bigger or a bit smaller it goes on the plane good

the tank is at the frnt. i mite try it at the back or the middle what do you think ? only thing is i ave just got a mercury 225 for it and could do with testing it to make sure it dont sink the back

i ran a 22 laser on mine with a cmc 5" setback plate and fuel tank in the back, merc 2.4 200 with offshore mid, ran 72mph on GPS, good handleing boat shame it kept falling apart

mine is just normal on the backend so if i was to lift the engine say 5" would it make it a lot faster or handle better

i ment 5" setback away from transom rather than 5" of height. have you got low water pickups on your gearbox? i didnt have them on mine so ran the prop shaft of gearbox approx 2.5" below.

CMC manual lift, sure you can find a second hand one, i think TD had a couple floating around
