I assume you mean for a National event race?

Then the navigessor needs a National Licence.
Also you need to belong to a powerboat club affiliated with the RYA.
Also a medical needs filling in by a doctor.

If you mean just for a BASIC - then no - an event licence will suffice. No medical but you still need to belong to an RYA club.

But if I'm not from England but from Poland??
Do I have to be to belong to RYA club??

I'm trying to prepare team for next year and start in one of your races
Which one is the coolest. Where and when do you think I should go to start my offshore racing??

I would give the rya powerboat office a call or email to see what your options are.

If you wish to race in England, you will need a letter from your countries national association, which gives you permission to request a British race licence. Then you need a medical, RYA affiliated club and a British licence to race in a national race.

There are however BASIC races, which do not require such formalities, and for which you can buy a licence on the day.

These are often more fun than the national races!

The most interesting race in my opinion is the COWES BASIC. Another good one is the Cancer Charities or the Brass Monkey.
