How much of the original is left? As a replacement skeg is not a good idea on a high perf application.

I noticed that you have a Tintorera 20, and wondered which one you have as they are quite rare here in the uk, if its the one i think it might be then it may be easier to get a second gearbox casing and swap all the bits over. Good luck anyway, it would be good to see another one back on the water.

A brief history of that boat. It was built for Bruce Maltwood late 93, it did local races in guernsey 94 before winning the ocr c title in 95. The boat was sold to Mark Greenaway at the end of the 95 season, where it was rigged (hence the transom ties) to race ocr a with the xr2. The xr2 under went a full Neil Holmes Blueprint during that season. It raced an average season with the highlight of being runners up in the ocr world cup in dunoon. At the end of the 96 season the boat was sold back to Bruce. The history goes a bit light at this point, i believe Bruce again did some local races (Guernsey/Jersey) in 97 before selling the boat on again. The boat was sunk in 98 off the channel island somewhere, and was thought to be lost forever. It reappeared on ebay around 2005, and when it was viewed it had damage consistant with being sunk for quite some time ( hence the no skeg ). The trail had gone cold until this post.

Hope that helps abit.

That does help, thanks.
I think the guy I bought it from must of got it from ebay, when I found it in Sevenoaks it hadn't been moved for a number of years so much so the trailer literally crumbled and fell apart when we lifted it onto a lorry.

The old girl does look in a bit of a state, although the anodising that Cheesy had done still looks good. I co drove the boat in 96 and everything looks to be in exactly the same position as when i raced it. I think the boat will scrub up nice with a bit off tlc, what condition is the engine? Have you had it running at all?

That was one of (if not the best) looking boats in OCR in its day!
