Southampton Boat Show
Will be at the show from Friday for the duration on (of all places) the Sealine stand.
Would be happy to see anyone from Boatmad if you're planning on coming down.
I will be easy to find, just look for the gray haired, bearded Yank who looks bored.

Yeh, a couple. Mercury's new Verado is pretty impressive, and you could have a look/laugh at the 700 Falcon (rib-x) on display.
Check out the port sprayrail a couple of feet from the bow!
Other than that it's pretty much the same as last year, although I didn't venture on to the marina, thought I'd save that for later in the week.
I also bought a digital camera, but as I don't have a bitch I gave it to my Ho instead!!! I bought a rather nifty "syphon" as well, you just stick the end in a can and jiggle it up and down a few times. Spent all night moving fluids around!

I have been most impressed with these for a while now, it's about the most useful bit of kit I have ever bought for a tenner.
Just for the record these go by many names.
The jiggle syphon
The Superpump
The Tossers Tube
The Wankers Wand
The Pud Pullers Pipe
and my favourite
The Fullers Fueler.
I take it the irony of a Verado being right next to the Suzuki stand wasn't lost on you

CC if you wuz there youd still be
The lovely , impressive and probably very expensive Suzuki stand is sited right next door to a boat builders stand. They have a range of three Cabin cruisers a sports boat and a RIB. The rib is parked right next door (almost touching the suzuki enclosure) with it's chuff facing the walkway. Hanging off this is a Verado 275. which looks to be more a part of the Suzi stand than their own engines.
Closer examination of the labeling on the stand would also show where the phrase ' the most powerful 4 stroke in the world' has been changed to 'The most advanced 4 strokes in the world'
Ah well c'est la vie

According to a poster on another forum, the Falcon 700RSR looked 'absolutely stunning in its new colour scheme of charcoal and grey.' although I think the rib-x stand was considereed 'guide dog unfriendly', so mebbe 'fido the labrador' lied to it's owner.
