I think it's meant to be a ski area and they get a bit funny if you go testing up there - if they don't see you it's not a problem!

No problem with testing up the Plym nearest slip is at Oreston !! Not very deep though !!
Best place is up the Tamar launching from Saltash, there is a transit line from Bridge towards Calstock and no speed limit up and back (but not round & round)

As mentioned, its pretty much a free for all, althouth its pretty shallow and not a huge space if more than 2 boats out. You occasionally have to contend with the rowing club on the opposite bank.
Big slipway at mount batten, plenty of parking. Let me know when your going as I'm desperate to give the bernico a try but would prefer another boat to be on the scene just in case.
Cheers
Dan

Ok, got a few little bits to do tonight but all being well I should be there with the bernico. Fingers crossed all will go without problems but if you see me starting to sink a quick tow back in would be very much apprichaited! !

Weather was made for it today! You need to speak to Saltash planners and get them to widen the slipway and parking area mate
good pics and proof that I have actually got it on the water after 8 months!!! Feelers already out for a little 2.5 to drop on now I'm keeping her. May be out from Mount Batten tomorrow weather permitting and once I've dropped it down a couple of bolt holes. Went straight to the pub for a celebractional pint and you'd gone by the time I got back. Catch you soon,

Dont think there would be along enough of a run for a poker run to be honest as you could only go up to the spaniards then back to the union. Reckon a "rally" would be the best bet, any mention of race and it all gets complicated, we should try and do something losely like the exmouth club do on new years and boxing day, kinda run what you bring etc just a shame weather like today will be inshort supply now I guess.
