I would say, 'ALL' to do with the hull, weight, and it being smaller (length less the beak and bathing platform) fountain is like 32' really, and nothing to do with the stagger.

IMO it is mostly, if not all, hull, drives and propellors. Staggered engines very very little. - Just my opinion....

I'm with Jon and Tricky, the staggered engines would not make it go faster at all, just handle better for its size.

We prefer steel fly wheels to maintain torque and an aluminum drive shaft to help forward motor rev quicker on our 38 Fountain staggered 525 set up
