Hi, for that sort of money i would go for a 115 v4 yamaha, loads of power and smooth. The merc 90 s are ok but to loud unless you go for a 4 stroke.

Yes I bought it from a guy last year who had it from new on his rib but hardly used it! I had it on a phantom 16 last year and did 3 hours before selling the boat and getting my p21, it's now on my fishing boat but hasn't been out on it yet, rather have a smaller hp motor for fishing!
The hour meter is there saying 112 and you can tell by looking at the block it's in mint condition

those 19 bernicos are happy to run with 260's / 280's as long as your fuel tank is big enough. will see 90mph easy

Thanks for the replies, my fuel tank is large, so i need to look for a 260 me thinks, iv seen a few motors in us good prices over there and wouldnt be to expensive to have it shipped back, would love a bit of a project ? what are these 225 promax engines like ? really want to see 80mph ?

260 is probably what you want that sort of price. Sold one to Paul Scott this year for 3K, he got a free P18 with it!!
Promax are great. Just blown mine up and priced up a new one but not cheap for a really good one. Lots more power than the 225 quoted and loads of torque. Fast motor.
