Thank you to those who helped...

Although I did not set the V24 speed record, I did get my V24 from the 72 mph mark to the 75.77 mph mark - legally!

I would not have done so without the help of several members of this site.

As far as I can figure out, the big things were:

Fresh water test ground,
Longer runup,
Roughen the hull,
Special oils for the gearbox.

There was also the support from most - which did help when things went wrong!

I was planning 4 runs a day for 5 days, to get the setup right and test the variables. As it turned out, I only had 4 proper runs....

No - I went assuming I would break the record, and the photographers there would take the pictures....

There were about 20 people taking photo's though. I am sure they will turn up...

There are some on the Windermere website..
