Or had I??

That boat never had a 'transom' as such behind the tunnel.

Two small motor mount transoms, tween each pair of motor knees behind each sponson, but the top of the tunnel (remember it was originally a twin cockpit boat) sloped down toward the stern, the thickness of the 'wing' between sponsons was probably only 10-12 inches at the stern, with a steep (maybe 45 degree) drop off right aft. So, you won't find an 'original transom'.

However, you might find Geoff Purves and Joe Donohoo sobbing in their beer if they see these pics.

That *work* is truly shocking.

I had a good look at the old pics of the boat once i got home and saw this, which would explain why i didn't find and 'transom' in the middle!

Unfortunately they ground back the original motor mounts and glassed over them whilst doing this. The glassing didn't hold at all behind those plates so as a result the bits of transom it did have are also sopping wet.

If anyone's got any close pics of the inside or outside of the transom area I would be eternally grateful! There's a whole variety of stuff in there which all looks like it could be involved with holding the motors on... from bits of ply to angle brackets!

The "Chap" I swaped it with my Ring 21 said the work was done by Steve, I can only go on what Im told..

If Steve didnt do the work them I Publically Appologise for the incorrect statement, But it was Steve who fitted one of Gav's decks to her, and one can only take it that to fit the deck the other works must have been done, the engine also (I believe) also originated from Steve..... so I am lead to believe.

In addition I did not denegrade Any of the work done ....

Pash you want to take a closer look at both pics and you'll notice the transom was never touched. There's some pics on this forum that show the new deck fitted but I can't find them

In the pic with the Seaquel deck on it, the the motor knee's appear to be gone already.

Larby, In the pic taken at what looks like Windermere (boat in blue), the 'wing' is different to the original, much deeper, presumebly because it had had the centre cockpit mod. total wing depth was originally no more than 12" at stern.

I think to use the term 'joinery work' is rather flattering, don't you!
