The missing Buzzi's
With the Marathon series making headwave since the RB08, one man's boats that seem most suitable is Buzzi and there are so many shown in the Media section ... But where are they all??? all those race boats never seem to crop up for sale, they must be scattered over every Italian boat yard, or is it one boat re-painted every time

Graham, what do you have listed as the name on Andrea Bonomi's FB38 that won the worlds in 1991?
And what became of it after this (from a racing perspective)

Comments re Buzzi boats.
Not sure what your`e driving at `Cfun`,but White Iveco was sponsored by Fresh & Clean for the Italian circuit in 1985 (I think there is a pic in the gallery in magazine album),and are you saying Matt`s estate is big enough to house it?
In the files Jon,I have listed Andrea Bonomi as winning the OPII Worlds in Mar del Plata in a boat called `Tecno 2`,but no further details. There were umpteen `Tecno` boats and it`s difficult to trace their exact history.Of course your mate Fabio could give you the full history.I haven`t waded through his book yet to update my listings.I thought at one stage it might have been the old `Ebel` but that was trashed in the U.S.
Marco (Black Tornado) is very helpful in filling in the blanks on this sort of thing, but I`m not so sure he follows the Buzzi history as he`s does other boats.

Graham, I know a bit about it. It was built new for Andrea for the '91 worlds. And yes, I thought Techno was the name. The boat is now a pleasure rigged beast (with Yanmars) minus it's wing. looks very nice.
Buzzi told me he had only built 5 or so of the FB38 mono's. So they're pretty rare. Drew's (Nemchoff) is the same running surface, but that version is described as a 42, as the trimax bustle became integrated in the moulding, where as the 38's were more like Cesa with a bolt on jobbie.

Fb38
Interesting to note only 5 or so made.I can well believe it.One can form the image of the world flooded with em.
Super Hawaii
Super Hawaii
Super Hero
Ugland/YPF/Rizzardi
Royal Flush
Sicla IP Banca di Roma
and the there is A.Bonomi`s and the ones above could be the same boat in some cases.
`Ebel` I have listed as 40ft,but then again entry forms can be misleading, even Nemschoff/Buzzi Bullett I`ve seen as 40ft.

Is this boat one of the 38' race boats produced as it has a wing and these drives don't look like the normal Trimax, if so it now has an interior, I posted this some time back see thread
http://boatmad.com/forum/showthread....highlight=cfun
and it appears still for sale at $71500 could make a great project

No, it's a Buzzi hull design, but not an FB build.
That boat sat on the seabed for 18 months before recovery.

FB obviously agreed a deal with Sunseekers and I recall a deal with Fountain for a Pro Vee boat that hoped to run the CTC last year but I did not realise other boat company's had made a 38' race copy

Blanx
Digging out the pics again Olli. All good stuff.
You could well be correct about Blanx being P5 as well.I had forgotton about that boat as well as `Ark` (see attachment). There are a lot of boats I have yet to source their details to add to my listings,Blanx and Ark being two of them.
If your looking for these boats on the multimedia,it`s not available, and not something solved in 5 minutes, but them boys are working on it to bring it back in the fullness of time.

I already suspected Ark was ex Tecno just because of the unique triangular shape of the wingtip fences and now I've found this:

only low 70's must have a cabin full of solid oak Drew's Ex Super sport Buzzi with the same hull and not much more power must have done closer to 90mph but then again the smaller hull of the XS 2000 with same engines seem to do not a lot more ... does Drew still own his one with the Fountain and the Cougar quite a collection

I believe so, he also owns the 36" RIB I raced in the Round Ireland Race.
