Skip to about 4.15 and he starts to mess around properly - not sure I'd want to do those speeds without any protection in such shallow water! Looks great fun though!

I have been jet boating in NZ and it looks a lot more dodgy than it really is in real life - you need the speed to get over the very shallow water and those things are very stable considering their size - don't forget they don't get waves!

And then there's always your mate that will come along and rescue you with a helicopter!

I had a quick blast (as passenger!) in one of the jet sprint style boats when I was there, the holeshot was immense!

Know what you mean about the helicopters, got a fond memory sitting at a beach side cafe when a gorgeous blue Augusta 109 landed in the garden, pilot emerged in sandles, brought a coffee to go then flew off - so casual!
