Does anyone remember TP driving "Wadham Stringer" a P26 IIID rig? I think it might have been Howard Wretham's. It was either Southern Speed or Spithead Trophy circa 1983.

He navigated for John Hampton in Wadham Stringer.
Boat was a red P 23, ex Miss Avia Watches (the first one)
It was very rough - The Southern Speed , in 1982.

Anyone remember the cigarette, Limit Up, that he used to race? It has been lying derilict in Ibiza with two blown engines for the past ten years. Would be a great project to rebuild.

Limit Up

Hi Pushkin, would be very interested to hear more about the Limit Up boat sitting in Ibiza. Michael Doxford who originally owned and raced the boat was my father, now sadly deceased.

Also if anyone knows I could find any video of the races with Limit Up in it, I would be very grateful.

Many thanks

Richard Doxford.

Richard, Welcome to Boatmad.

I assume you're a relative of the late Michael Doxford. I'm sure if this is the case, finding the boat would be of great importance to you.

Hi Jon, thanks for the welcome.

I'd be amazed to see the boat after all these years, I'm not entirely sure I'd be able to do with it but as I'm due to be in Ibiza later this year, I thought it would be fun to at least track it down.

Best wishes

Richard, if you do find the boat in Ibiza, at least get some pictures to post on here. It would be interesting to see which cigarette is lying out there!
