Towbar installation done by "experts" at home.

Don't use the geezer, he don't know if his ashole is punched or bored!
Towsafe; 07836 244 766.
I've NOT had any work done with him, but an appointment was made and a no show occured.
Phone calls were made, "I call you back within the hour".
3 calls later, 'no answer'!

Anybody know a reliable Mobile fitter in the Kent area?
I know the fitting is a DIY job but the wiring to a CanBus system is rocket science to me!

Funny that as I was promised a call back by him a few times aswell... Nothing but $hit excuses .. Then I tried a company in Guildford "yes sir you existing Motorhome chassis is plenty strong enough £400 cash " glad I didn't go there (quite like the back of my camper ) finally after a few more dodgy quotes I went to Watlins in st Albans , couldn't get a nicer bunch and a lot less money than you think & the first company that really know what there doing ... Www.watling-towbars.co.uk.

Just for info, the CanBus wiring is easier then the old Skool! It's plug and play. Had the loom for my 7 series a few years ago.

I know the system your talking about.
The trouble is, the wiring has to originate at the fuse box, this means running the cable behind the trim panels from the boot to the drivers foot well.
One needs to be a gynaecologist to get the fuse box out!
Just toooo much agro. It's all done by relays in the boot now so I'll leave that to the pro's.

Just a final word on this subject.
Towrite/Upminster.
Arrived there at 08.15hrs, they turned up at 09.05hrs. Loadsa shifting cars about (mainly due to the car dealer next door) then finally got my car in the work bay.
The 'Guvner' was making 2 cups of tea, that's nice I thought ,,, yup one for him and one for the other geeza! There is a nice cafe down the road I was told !!!!
Quoted 100 squids - Charged 140. This was because "I had the electrics installed as well" (despite the 100 quoted, included the electrical work)!
Had a word ,,, pissing against the wind here!

Recommendation, Yell.com!

Wouldn't it be nice if there was somewhere that people who had used a business could comment on their experience and give others the heads up?

Ok .. A follow up -

Arrived Thursday at 8.30 at "watlings" st Albans , as arranged and agreed to return at 3:30 , when I returned all was finished and looked better than expected and not a penny more than quoted even though they had a few problems ..

Don't consider this excessive time as was a one off custom build for my Motorhome .. A lot quicker fit for of the shelf items

The only idea that springs to mind here is leave feedback on the Yell.com customer review page.
