Trim switch?

Can anyone suggest a trim switch that I can mount on the dash & reach with my fingers from the wheel, or one I can adapt? It's not a lot of fun when you are bashing about trying to reach down to the controller to find the button!

Besides which as she is a 1970 Stapely I have fitted the old square style controller (managed to pick up a brand new one on eBay for peanuts) which is period & the switch doesn't fit to that. I am also putting period decals on the Merc 115 inline 6.

Thanks, Geoff

You could fit a pro trim stalk at the wheel, or in keeping with the age of the boat a two button switch on the wheel.

Or you could put two large push buttons on the floor, to activate with your left foot.

Thanks Hydro, I have just received the Pro trim, looks just what I wanted. The wheel had holes in it when I got the boat so it clearly had trim buttons on there at one point. However - it is a nice Moto-Lita wheel that I have just had those nice people at Moto-Lita refurbish (very reasonable it was too) - including filling the in holes in the ali spokes! So the Pro Trim will do just fine as I have Seastar hydraulic steering on her anyway so it it a straight forward bolt on job.

I am hoping I will have her ready for the IWAI powerboat section River Shannon Run in early May. I will be there whatever but hopefully with this boat.

I fitted a sprung long toggle switch to dash - in reach of fingertips from wheel. Have a look at RS Componants - (they even come with a rubber gaiter at the base).
