Phantom 28 (pleasure, not race) 7' beam, GM 6.5litre 325hp V8's, Bravo1 sterndrives (@+50mm 'X') 3100kilos. but you already know all this.

I aught to add, 'Debenhams' was a near 50' ali, stepped Don Shead design, with triple Sabre Marathons (630hp) for class1

OK, I don't know the weight, though Techno 40 on here probably does.

I would guess at near 8000kilos. I think the hull length was 48' + the drive bustle, and circa 8' beam. Single step (at that time) triple Ford-Sabre 630's (at 2450rpm) 1.5:1 step up boxes, ASD8's (two with Hyvo chain drop boxes, one direct) 93mph.

IIRC, the port motor had the usual Sabre 'lock-up' Torque converter coupled directly to the Arneson, with the 1.5:1 step up done in the chain box. (non shiftable) = left hand prop rotation.

The centre motor had the torque converter, then a 1.5:1 step-up gearbox that also reversed the rotation, then hanging on that was a Daytona crash box (obviously 1.0:1) and onto the direct Arneson (no chain box) via long propshaft. (shiftable F-N-R) = right hand prop rotation.

The starboard motor had the torque converter, the 1.5:1 step-up gearbox & rotation reverser, hooked up to the Arneson with a 1.0:1 chain box. (non shiftable) = right hand prop rotation.

Do you have any more information about the Sabre 'lock-up' Torque converters? There is one boat in Norway that runs arnesons and hydrodynamic couplings and really big props. Interesting concept.
