That would be great ,although it is important to see its condition at the moment ,but also nice to see when it was new .

Thx A.J

No official speed runs (I only drove it once) but its predecessor with 35 less hp per side and a lower than standard X dimension ran 70.4 at Windermere. My guess would be 72-75 mph.

Wow what an era, Guernsey with a thriving fishing industry, my boat up and running and scariest of all Mick Phillips with hair!

Just how big is your attic!

Fantastic article, I think I only have one photo of Flash that has not come from you.
I have recently purchased the Yams off Phantom Menace so hopefully performance should be comparable to when Andy had the boat.

Many thanks, your beer tokens are mounting

Regards

Steve

Steve,
I have to say you do need a good memory to remeber that, sorry Miccky. Talking of which, have you seen him recently, how's he doing, lost touch since he started going to Dubai ?

Hi Simon,

Mick Phillips was owner of Sunsport Marine, recently went into the clothing business.

Micky Roberts was an official scrutineer worked for Ronez, he used to travel all over. Still see him about the Island, both vertically challenged with receeding hairline---at least I still have my height.

It used to be great having all the class 1 fleet in town with the likes of Dick Ridout/Robby Dosworth/Dave Corson/as well as an army of helpers for the powerboat week
With the GPA gaining momentum it would be great to try and get something like that back again

Regards

Steve

Also can anyone tell me if I fit a pair of H/O 250 E-tech which do not have contra rotating boxes will there be much effect on the boat as they are so far spaced apart.

Thanks

Steve

Did you ever get the above film from Mike LLoyd?

If not,the attic has one,and if you can stomach it,clips from Howards Way with that awful wooden acting coupled with the `Flash` in Superboat mode.

"Wooden acting"! Fish, it was a top BBC Drama!

I guess we have some memories to share -

Mine was watching 6 bottles of Champagne fail, until Ken Masters finally uncorked the 7th on Castle Cornet.

The Toleman Twins taping up Dickie Davies to his chair in Guernsey, carrying him out of the lounge and throwing him in the Jacuzzi - The actor that played Ken Masters shouting, "Now your F... , you will never tell me West Ham have lost again.

Laura Levi's was being told by a BBC producer to put her helmet on... 9 times - 9 takes

I am sure OOD was there and can enlighten us.
