Thanks to all the guys who turned out at such short notice, put up with the rain and the seemingly needless and endless delays that make up any filming.
The whole day would have been and I quote "an unmitigated disaster" with out the help of you all, we made some very useful freinds yesterday.

As apposed to just a disaster?

It's good to be able to differentiate between the various levels of failure.

Sunday 26th @7.00pm

Presented by Johnny Vaughan, Car of the Year 2008 kicks off with three exclusive shows which preview all the cars short-listed. Broadcast from the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, we'll be looking at all the nominated cars, checking them out, patting them on the bonnet and bigging them up. We'll even ship in a load of car-mad celebrities and let them loose on some of them, as well as letting a few members of the general public – like cabbies, learner drivers and their instructors, power boat racers – put the cars through their own special tests.

Don't I now know about it!

Seemed like most people I bumped into today (Ford R&D centre) had watched it.

But seriously I really enjoyed the day and had a great time. I thought they did well with the footage they took.

Thanks for organising to all.

Got into lean about 6 years ago over at our Plant in Houston, need to keep ahead in the oil industry.
Bringing in processes from Brazil, globally it should be going the other way around,
As you say doing it right very powerful.

EDIT: Thanks JF for putting the vid up for download. I'm gonna watch it on a plane later this week. And reflect on how much better European cars are than North American crap.

You're welcome, no worries. (it's hosted on Matt's server BTW, so thanks should realy go to him).

While reflecting on the merits of the Euro cars and their superiority over the 'other stuff' at 36,000', why not also run over the thought of the superiority the 'better' hard boats in the RB08 demonstrated over their similarly powered and sized blow up rivals when the going got tough. Somewhat confusingly, as we all 'know' that the 'blow ups' really shine when it roughs up, or so they say on FibNet.
I think they refer to it as 'The Legendary seakeeping of a RIB' when they're waxing lyrical over there.

It was mostly flat wonnit!...or as us rough water racers call it,...rib weather. ...Now when it demanded a bit of grit....

RB2, do be serious! we were over ten hours ahead in a 'gay class' RB4 boat.

And what won overall? despite it being rib weather.

Oh no worries there. Living where I do now and valuing creature comforts I imagine that if I won the lottery a Botnia Targa 42 would be preferable to a 10m Scorpion!
