Donīt think so..speed is an american and attacked an American Owning a Big Powerboat, it just happens to be an Apache.
Ok so the Apache looks dated but yes thatīs the "real style of Powerboats". Form follows function.
Me myself donīt either like those raised engine hatches and gunnels on an Apache, or the megahigh Screen.
Just compare it to a Cig 35 Mistress and you know What I mean.
Real Flat decks is where itīs at and they surely can take waves.
The oldest (and biggest) offshore race in the wolrd has only a speed record of 77 knots so who need stepped ones when no-one to this date hasnīt run so fast stepped would be better handlingwise?
Ok well thatīs only my opinion as that races is closest to me and Is a True Offshore race.
Name of the Race...Roslagsloppet.
Besides I like to feel standing or sitting in a boat at idle speeds especially close to the water. Apaches are kinda high in that area, in a Scarab you are lower for some reason or any other old school style.
And running hard it doesnīt matter.
In fact for the persons behind Apache (Mainly Kramers) and the argues around Iīm not that fond of "The Apache Legacy"
I see it sarcastic that New Jersey happens to have a large following of Apaches but maybe itīs just because the Waters need them thats what I like to believe from a boating standpoint.
Donīt know about Virginia thou...there you might get still by with a canoe...if youīre able to handle it
Turn on your sarcasm filter here.
