Curious ways!

But what a Ride what the hell.

By the way what do you rkn of the 357 Jon
To be honest, other than looking a pics, i've never experienced one, so am not entitled to an opinion really (yeah, I know, never normally stops me)

Matt on this forum has a 292, and yearns for a 357, he'd get very excited by talk pertaining to that model.
I would think it requires a fair bit of power to get it flying, they look pretty heavy.

Seems maybe the same applies 'Globaly'.
Don´t think so..speed is an american and attacked an American Owning a Big Powerboat, it just happens to be an Apache.

Ok so the Apache looks dated but yes that´s the "real style of Powerboats". Form follows function.

Me myself don´t either like those raised engine hatches and gunnels on an Apache, or the megahigh Screen.
Just compare it to a Cig 35 Mistress and you know What I mean.
Real Flat decks is where it´s at and they surely can take waves.
The oldest (and biggest) offshore race in the wolrd has only a speed record of 77 knots so who need stepped ones when no-one to this date hasn´t run so fast stepped would be better handlingwise?
Ok well that´s only my opinion as that races is closest to me and Is a True Offshore race.
Name of the Race...Roslagsloppet.

Besides I like to feel standing or sitting in a boat at idle speeds especially close to the water. Apaches are kinda high in that area, in a Scarab you are lower for some reason or any other old school style.
And running hard it doesn´t matter.

In fact for the persons behind Apache (Mainly Kramers) and the argues around I´m not that fond of "The Apache Legacy"
I see it sarcastic that New Jersey happens to have a large following of Apaches but maybe it´s just because the Waters need them thats what I like to believe from a boating standpoint.

Don´t know about Virginia thou...there you might get still by with a canoe...if you´re able to handle it
Turn on your sarcasm filter here.
