IMO that looks like a Cig Althought built by Skater.
Seems Skater does all the record boats...
How was it with the Fountains latest was it inhouse or a Skater made too?

I would love to see that boat running in UIM-classes or something.
Cig back in Racing.

The latest Fountain Kilo boat was laid up in house at Fountain. It's been a good while since a Fountain came out of a mold at Skater.

Hint:The record books and racing records which are the hard cold facts say different.

Again, english is key, try using it.
I think you are trying to state these companies move here because of cheap labor which shows complete ignorance. If cheap labor was the reason then they would have gone to China or India. I know the workers in the local Ford plant here pull down well over $100,000 a year. That's cheap labor?
:
Regarding world records in numbers of championships national or internatinal I bet Finnish ARGO Boats and their owner Fabritius Brothers has more records than the US builders combined.
And Bytheway Find me the record you state in the UIM record list.

And yes English is the key.
If you can´t make formal to understandable I´m just sorry for you.

Regarding cheap labour it´s cheap when it´s good enough so that you don´t have to redo or in the Chinese Tankers case REweld Every seam here locally.
So Yes US is Cheap labour in my eyes.
Thats prolly why Nor-Tech also moved overthere being Swedish/Norwegian first and making Cigarette Splashes.

But yes enough of this pissing contest as I dont want to humiliate you no more IMO.
Prolly you haven´t even heard of Argo boats, those around racing have on the other hand.

All the best.

I e-mailed Argo and asked about their world records...

Argo,
I am curious if you hold any world speed records?
Thanks

Argo's reply:

Not yet!

Cheers, Ben

So much for that.

Re-opened this previously 'Locked' thread, now that the cause of most of the trouble has gone!

Thought I'd bring this thread 'back to the top', as it was a great thread, if that is, you can ignore all the bollox from MikeyFIN.

Some of the newer members may not have seen it, so, enjoy.

Another cool thread about US boating can be seen Here

As with a lot of you guys I went to the Miami boat show in Feb and tried most of the big boats on the water and came away convinced that the Velocity 36 was a very sweet boat clocking just over 80mph on the GPS with twin 496 mercs which frankly shocked us ( I have that on vid, don't ask me to download it onto this site as I haven't the knowledge but could probably find someone who could). So, I would appreciate the opinion of our friends in the USA as to their thinking on Velocity because we are close to getting one. I have also just been on their site - again - and they have a new 410 - see pic - which they claim can do over the ton!
