Vote for Turbodynamics

Knackered turbos on my Yanmars...leading to a post elsewhere here suggesting I try Turbodynamics.

Spoke to Nigel who spent a huge amount of time on the phone chatting about options.

He ended up paying to get them shipped to him for a full exam, 24 hours later he gave me the news...which as expected was not good.

Short answer two new turbos (which was the second opinion I was after)...however, answer didn't stop there.

Load of annotated digital photos showing damage as well as diagnosis of the underlying problem...all brilliant.

He gave me two options - recon or new...pros and cons as well as life expectation from reconditioning process.

He was hugely concerned about how soon he could get me back on the water and giving me options to get me afloat again.

He also knocked a slab of cash off new turbos.

Ended up going for new as other options like housings off another boat were no-go.

An expensive mid-season problem...but cannot hesitate in recommending him.

Turbo Dynamics

Would also heartily recommend Nigel at Turbo Dynamics. Those with a long memory may recall that he used to work with Steve Salmon...
He has just done the Switchzer turbo for my Cummins Mercruiser 320's and made a very nice job, 24 hour turnaround too.
Cummins Mercruiser- don't touch them, but that's another story !!!

Nigel was the man when it came to buying Earls fittings.
