warning!!!
saw this on the "toob" site, thought it may be of use to a few of ya....................
For those of you traveling around the South, a friend has provided the
following....
Hants Police are doing for a television programmed series from tomorrow
(26th September) for seven weeks.
If you use the M27 or the M3 this potentially affects you so please
proceed with caution and pass onto anyone who you feel might just need to know.
The program a BBC South commission called "Traffic Cops" will be filmed
covering the area from Ringwood concentrating on Ringwood M27 up to M3
J9 and a team working the ring road around Southampton (Totton will have a
unit working it alone), Cosham M27 stretch to J5 of the M27 (Southampton
Airport turn-off). The fourth concentration is working from Winchester Services covering M3 to J10 M3 (Winchester South) using five unmarked cars, two Skoda 03 registration Octavias, an 05 plate dark red Mondeo and two Volvo saloon cars.
The BBC unit are going to be based out of a unit in Millbrook Road in
Southampton and will also be covering the armed police response unit and
the Southampton Airport Police Security / British Transport Police
team.
The BBC team are in Citreon Picasso MPVs leased from Arriva.
To make it even more effective the Traffic police have authority from
Chief Constable to "work to rule" So instead of the laid back approach to the
usual Hants traffic police this will be a lot more concentrated to make
it effective filming.

Just what I was thinking we'll all be getting pulled over that weekend for dodgy trailer board lights and wrong number plates etc.
My cars probably not heavy enough to tow my boat either!!!

I got pulled over on the way back to Plymouth from Brixham on Sunday on the A38, number plate obstructed, number plate was no the same as the car, no towing mirrors (is that a legal requirement?), on this subject he said that I wouldn`t be able to see cars behind me, I replied that I seen his blue flashing lights, he then told me that he tried pulling me in several miles further up the road (bloody liar). Finally he was not keen on the laser cut, mirror finished number plate.
Although to his credit he didnt fine me

Bloody pricks have got nothing better to do than percecute innocent people for the sake of good television.
What about catching robbers, rapists, child abusers and illegal imegrants, I Suppose thats too hard for them.
Dont get me started About the 110,000 assylum seekers comming in every year that we are paying for or ill be here all night.
Great Btitain. I dont think so, not any more.
