Water skiing in Salcombe

Hi guys, the Salcombe and Kingsbridge Water Skiing Association has been formed with the idea of establishing a water ski area inside the estuary - the harbour master needs to gauge people reaction so if you live in the area or visit and have an opinion please email the harbour master, thanks very much! Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this will not only increase business in Salcombe but the safety aspect of having an area you can go fast instead of venturing out past the bar is critical. hopefully this policy will come in to effect asap and it will be advertised well.
all my customers will agree to sign a petition along with I think everyone we both know lol.

all they need to do now is to start dredging the estuary again lol

An email from your business would be a help, if you can inform your customers and get them to email their support that would also be a big help - don't forget to copy in ski.salcombeharbour@gmail.com There is a Facebook group as well - SKEWA please join if you're interested!

it may be worth while considering associating your new club with British Waterski, their web site can be found here

A long way down the road with the BWSF and working closely with them - They have been very helpful and things wouldn't have got this far without them. Might get in touch with the BWSW as well!

May have got a bit confused with the British Waterski Federation and the British Water Ski and Wakeboard who it seems are one and the same - they have been very helpful and supportive!

Following a meeting on Monday morning with the harbour master the proposal will go to the harbour board in September

In all fairness it was never going to be a quick decision and we are still a long way off making it happen, the Harbour Board only have monthly meetings and everyone needs to be able to have their say.

At least one Island Street business has agreed to send out news letters by email from the Club (if we get anywhere) to give their customers a chance of joining up if they wish - would you be happy to do the same?

of I will. if it goes ahead email me the news letter and ill do a full database forward email. I know there are a lot that want it this season as their children are to young to go out passed the bar to learn.

who's going to be the first water-skis school lol or does Ally have first dibs, will just save her a bit of fuel transiting out.

The intention is for it to be a members club without any commercial interests. If the members decide on having a club teaching session I'm sure the local instructors would be asked to help out for a fee, the problem would be that if a school were allowed to set up shop members wouldn't get a look in, especially during popular times.
