Waterford
Anyone know how the best way to get to Waterford, Ireland is by car?
Also has anyone ever boated from there back to Fishguard/Pembroke?
Does any one know a good company for boat haulage?
We have seen a nice 37 Tomahawk over there and need to investigate!

sometime flying is a pain and more expensive... unless you live next to the airport and can travel midweek....
if we bought seller was talking about motoring her over to Pembroke marina?? must be confident!!! is the St george's channel a bit iffy, weather wise??
first quote for boat transport from pembroke to poole £900 not including lifts.... seems expensive... was hoping someone might know someone in this trade...(will start another thread)

waterford
Admiral: waterford is about a 3/4 - 1 hr drive from rosslare if you fly into Dublin it's about a 3 hr drive down after you clear the city! Shannon airport is probably closer but is a worse drive to waterford from there.
It's an easy crossing from waterford to pembroke, I went to college in milford haven been accross that water more times than I care to remember.
For transport the company I work for usualy use Hainsworth's (it's a uk Co.), if you like I could find out if we have any boats comming with them in the next few weeks, you could get them on their return journey. They're based in yorkshire I think.
I can get a list of Irish transport co.'s and I know a few skippers if you want it motored back.

Boats n Booze
Admiral, thats cool. Probably the best way to do it, Waterford town's not a bad spot. There's absolutely nothing in rosslare, I remember getting stranded thwere a few times, missing ferries or busses etc. going to and from col. Same goes for Fishguard, Pembroke is small too. About fifteen miles to Haverfordwest from either Fishguard or Pembroke, kinda small student type town, good craic from what of it I can remember!
Good luck with your new boat, you should have a bit of fun in Waterford. If you need a surveyor, I have a buddy down south that's a surveyor.

Have fun, Alan
