What boat next?
I guess Boatmad is maybe not the right place to be asking about what leisure boat I should get next, but hey-ho...
I bought a P18 a couple of years ago and took it to Corfu, where it now lives. It's been excellent. Island hoping, going to the mainland, going to town to do the shopping or grab a coffee. It's amazingly fast and reasonably fuel-efficient (for an old 2-stroke).
I was thinking of upgrading the engine, leaning towards the new breed of 2-strokes. But the boat itself isn't perfect for Greece. I can't get more than 3 friends in it, and when we go camping to other islands (or even day trips) there is barely enough space for people, cool-bags, food and equipment.
I don't want to compromise on speed, but am happy to compromise a bit on fuel efficiency. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd rather keep it in the single thousands.
Needs to seat at least 5 plus a reasonable amount of luggage.
