What Hydraulic steering to buy?

I have been looking at these syetems for sale on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=31283

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...000549858&rd=1

They about between £440 and £460 in the US what would they cost here?
Anyone ever bought anything from the US via ebay? Any hidden charges?

I got your props yesterday by the way! I was well impressed with the packaging! Ill be sending your cheque off asap.
With the postage it will cost £500 + £87 VAT but I dont know what the duty is? Are there any ways around them? Like send them to a mate in the USA and having then send it back as a gift?
How much would I pay in the UK for a SeaStar Pro?

Under UK customs law the max allowance for gifts is £50.00! Any more than this and the carrier is liable to all duty and vat charges ehich they will pass on to you! The bill sometimes arrives weeks or months later!

Depending on hose lengths, I can supply Seastar Pro with Front mount Cylinder, Helm mount & Oil for around £850 incl vat!

Both those auctions say "ship to united states only".

I generally find if ya mail them and ask - obviously stating you'll pay all shipping costs, and pay before they have to despatch, that they're OK to ship to the UK. Not always, but usually.

went for the Hydrive in the end from Southern Marine. Set me back just over £700 for the complete kit Inc the flexi hoses.
