Tis not a 26' Wross is it ... sorry I mean Ross from the 80's although he did have a kind of mark 1 which had a different name and then again the last ones I believe also had a different name but if it is they weren't to bad although they did flex in the middle a bit

If not I'll go with it's a flower pot

It's about 19 foot long, and round the back of a mates house.

Once I've got some decent pics I'll tell you some more.

19' mmm, in that case maybe it's a pretty unknown thing that was knocking around Poole boat yards in the 80's, if it is it was always being re-done it never really shone that well and a guy called John ex Chris Lewis racing got hold of it and tried to make something of it but that also came to not a lot

or maybe I should just stick with FLOWER POT

It resided for a while at Mitchells boat yard in Poole next to my boat, some guys had it but could not afford an engine or at least one that ran so it was sold to 2 guys that worked for Gavin who back then had a large building with for sale boats in it, then John purchased it from them after they gave up on the project I think it was after that it ended up at Cobb's as John was working on boat's their, he did do work for me on my old style XR2 along with Chris Lewis then he vanished to work for the Victory team in Dubai think iv only seen him 2 or 3 times since ... He also worked on Mark Mumfords MM Music next door to me which I understand did not please Chris Lewis ... AKA ... the 27' cat that John who used to post as Bluefin rebuilt

PS ... JF spot on the money though when you said John Ide

Yeh, I knew all that, but I want to know WHAT the boat is, not who owned it

Hope to have some more pics soon.

When I had the workshop at Poole Boat Park, I used to see it going up and down the harbour, and thought it was a pretty boat.

The current owner thought it was a Bonito, but it's a little short for the ones I know.

well that is the question to the question ... the 2 bods that owned it and passed it on had no idea the guys who purchased it no idea, as I was curious I asked John to find out and with all his boating connections back then he did some digging ... however when he did tell me I seem to recall I had my doubt's and he said ...

.... OH BOLLOXS I forgotten what he said over time

especially as I really thought it was unimportant because one day it would end up as a FLOWER POT
