Looks like an ex RNLI lifeboat - cannot remember the class name. They were around 18' and twin inboards.

same builder I think - but the e-bay boat is smaller and probably closer to the lifeboat design. Then chine line and foredeck looks like the lifeboat hull too.

A Westcraft Watson, designed by G L Watson and a 18' was designed for the RNLI, built in the same "yard" as Tremletts...
15' and up to 30' I think...

does look like a maclane ragged chine, were used as rescue / lifeboats around hamble in late 1970s. Remember a bright orange one moored at the top of the river, but don't know much about them, interesting to see it had a steadying sail for fishing, not what they were intended for.
